Hello all, 

A year ago I embarked on making the second album in my @mullhistorical series in collaboration with fellow authors. It was my way of bringing my worlds of musician and author together, but really it was my small way of trying to connect and create a community in this fractured world. 

I asked the authors for words/stories on a significant photo to them. From there I would compose the songs. That’s what we’ve done and we hope you enjoy the results. I quickly saw threads of hope, identity, memory and humanity were connecting the works, through powerful images/stories from Inverness to Botswana, China to Gaza, Glasgow and beyond.

But all made home on the isle of Mull. It seems home, like photos, stories – travel… 

Here you can meet the authors, see the photographs they chose and read a line by way of a ‘song insight’ about the stories behind each song.
