My new album 'Island' is ready to roll out in shops in the UK on Monday 6th July; its available also on iTunes and all the usual online retailers worldwide. News to come of when the album will be in the shops in other countries.

First single 'Cape Wrath' is available for download on Monday 22nd June. All routes to live streams and other bits at colinmacintyre.com

The album CD comes with unique, beautifully illustrated art by Jo Burton, and a Short Story I've written, one of a collection based on the song titles of the album, called 'Stories From An Island'. The iTunes album download will come with 2 exclusive bonus tracks from the album sessions, as well as the 'Cape Wrath' video. It was shot this week in the woods…I'm still finding twigs in my hair.

Okay, I'm sticking with the line that if half of you on here were to pre-order the album, or make a note now to get the single and album on each of the Monday's or week's of release listed above, then you'd put me back in the top 40. If ALL of you did it, then I'd buy us the Isle of Rhum or get my hair cut or something! Pre-order links to come.

If you do that for me, then I'll do this in advance for you: I'm giving away a track for free that I recorded during the new album sessions. Some of you will know a song I wrote called 'Calgary Bay'. In the past this was a ltd edition vinyl B-Side, now it's a tweet-side or something. I've re-recorded it back home at my favourite place, Calgary Beach, with pedal steel accompaniment.
