** GIG POSTPONED **

Hello all — unfortunately following the announcement yesterday about ongoing Covid restrictions I’ve been informed by Celtic Connections that this Glasgow show cannot now go ahead. Nor will the An Tobar 25 Years celebration I was due to perform at. Obviously everyone’s safety is paramount. I was hugely looking forward to playing for you, but we will just have to do it all again at Celtic Connections ’23 and all ticket holders will be contacted.

In these times — and in my 20th anniversary of ‘Loss’ — you as ‘The Society’ and this thing of community generally seems even more vital and continues to drive my new songs and stories. To that end a new MHS album & reissues of the first 3 albums are coming this year which I hope will soften the disappointment of those who were planning to come to Glasgow.

More info to come on that and on new shows this year, including uploads of MHS gig archives and TV appearances recently discovered from the (historical) vaults such as MHS on Later… with Jools Holland, Hogmanay Live at Edinburgh Castle and others. Crowd-surfing / invasions seemed to be compulsory…

Until then, be well and stay safe all — Colin

**UPDATE**

Hello all, well I’m still gutted not to be able to perform ‘Loss’ at Celtic Connections in Glasgow tonight at Saint Luke’s & The Winged Ox due to the restrictions… and have been really touched by all your messages from far & wide – So I wanted to do something for you instead… shall I come to you? It is in fact *STILL stage time so pour something and c’mon and join me now for a *very unplugged ‘Loss’ (we’ll just let the world in…)

— ‘Loss’, ‘Us’ & ‘This Is Hope’ will be specially reissued this year along with a new MHS album. The Glasgow ‘Loss’ show will be rescheduled too and more tba! Colin
